Whoever said big girls can’t wear stripes, lied! We can wear whatever we want! I love wearing stripes. I always hear “it makes me wider”…I don’t know about you, but I love having hips. I love being a big girl and no matter what I wear, I will be a big girl.

I’ve never been a midi skirt kind of girl, but I bought this striped one from Torrid last year. I also have a plum colored one that is gorgeous. I’m starting to like midi skirts. I like it’s form fitting length and the way it looks on my body. I’m starting to prefer midi skirts over pencil skirts. The good thing about this skirt is that it has a fold over top, so I can fold it over and make it a pencil skirt if I choose. Torrid usually always has a fold over skirt in various prints and colors. It fits very well, I believe I bought my normal size 2, but sometimes I get 1’s in these skirts so they can be a bit more fitted.

I paired it with my light wash denim vest from Torrid I also bought last year. They have a similar version here. I love this vest. It is very versatile and you can pair it with almost anything. I always try to have something basic in my closet to pair with my outfits, like this vest, blazers or denim jackets. Those items can come in handy!

My crop top is from Boohoo, but they are currently sold out. You can find them in other colors on their site. I found my shoes at Shoe Dept. last year when I went to New Orleans last year. I always have a hard time finding shoes because I have wide width, so I had to size up in these and get an 11. They are comfortable but I’m not sure if I would wear them for a long time. Ha!
